Religion: We will learn about St. Francis of Assisi's love for all of God's living creatures.
Reading: Miss Bindergarten Takes A Field Trip, fiction; Skill: Classify; Phonics: Letter Recognition Tt - Zz; Grammar: Initial Sounds ; High Frequency Words: the little, I, am. Write these words on index cards for practice.

We will have our first Mystery Guest Reader this week. (shh) Be sure to sign up.
Math: We'll continue to numbers to 5 using counters and cubes - vocabulary: miss than, less than
IXL is a good site for practice. It allows me to check on your child's progress.
Social Studies: We'll learn about Columbus as well as community helpers
Science: We'll see how many pennies can sink a boat (made from aluminum foil)
Art Hub: How to draw a firefighter
Buddies: We enjoyed playing a dice game with them and will continue to meet weekly.
Brain Breaks: We've started Zumba and are already quite good at it!
October Kindergarten Service Project: We will be collecting new " Socks for Souls" - men's, women's, children's. Thank you.
Homework: Complete this sentence: I am afraid of... Then write a 2nd sentence telling why. Example: I am afraid of bugs. They bite.
Writing should be done in pencil (by your child) slowly, carefully and neatly. Be sure to note one finger spacing between words, pencil grip and letter formation from the top down. Have them draw a picture in the blank space at the top of the paper in crayon. Full name on the back please. We will share them in class. Paper is in the blue folder - extra piece if needed. Due: By Thursday
A Math page is sent home after each lesson and due the next day if possible
No homework on Fridays.

Please send in $2.00 for pictures if you'd like to. The photo album is being circulated.
Tag Day Thursday - free dress - $2.00
No school Friday - 12:30 dismissal and a note if your child is going to EDP
Bag A Books should be returned by Thursday if your child takes one home (usually every other week)
There are many fundraisers/school activities being planned. Consider signing up to help. It's a good way to connect with other parents
